Hi, I’m Katie!
“It’s the little things that make you feel at home.”
I founded Good Little Things out of my passion for home, my eye for design, and my belief that design solutions—big or small—can be both low-cost and high-impact. With a background in art, architecture, and interior design, I help families create homes that feel authentic, welcoming, and supportive of the way they actually live.
I also write about the deeper connections between home, identity, and well-being. An essay I wrote, Creativity, Motherhood & Neurodiversity, was published in MOTHER.
I Believe…
home has the power to shape how we feel, think, connect, and move through daily life.
people already know more than they think about their home—they often just need space, guidance, and confidence to trust themselves.
exploring possibilities creates clarity.
the best design is collaborative because no one knows your life
better than you do.meaningful change happens through small, thoughtful steps—
not overnight transformation.great design isn't about perfection; it's about creating a home that supports the life you actually live.
your home should make it easier to be yourself.
when your homes supports you, you have more energy for the people and experiences that matter most.
Let’s Create Your Home Together
Whether you’re looking for a single-room refresh, a full remodel, or guidance on specific design challenges, we’re here to help you make your home feel like you.
-
I hold a degree in architecture, and my journey through art, architecture, and interior design has shaped how I approach every project. What truly sets me apart is my role as a conduit and facilitator: I help clients visualize their ideal home and bring it to life, rather than imposing my own style or agenda.
You hire me not just for my design expertise, but for a collaborative, enjoyable process—where your vision drives the project, and I guide, organize, and enhance it so the result is authentically yours.
-
I start by understanding your home—what works, what doesn’t, and what you love.
I create a plan that balances function, style, and budget.
I guide you through decisions—from layout and material/finish selection to overall design choices—so the final result feels cohesive, functional, and authentically yours.
Every project is unique, and my goal is always to make the process simple, enjoyable, and stress-free. Some clients want full-service design; others like to DIY or manage their own projects. I adapt to both, so the process always feels right for you.
